01Acceptance of these terms
By accessing or using jddesign.ae (the "Site") you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the Site. Where you use the Site on behalf of a company or other legal entity, you represent that you are authorised to bind that entity to these terms.
02Permitted use
You may browse the Site for personal, non-commercial information purposes and to engage JDI for design and build services. You agree not to:
- circumvent, disable, or otherwise interfere with security or authentication features (including rate limits, session tokens, or 2FA);
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to any account, system, or data not intended for you;
- probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Site without our prior written authorisation (we welcome coordinated security research — write to [email protected]);
- scrape, crawl, or systematically copy the Site or its content other than what is permitted by our robots.txt;
- use the Site for any unlawful purpose or in any way that violates UAE law or the law of the jurisdiction from which you access it;
- upload or transmit malware, exploit code, or material designed to disable or impair the Site.
03Accounts & responsibility
Some areas of the Site (back-office) require an account. Accounts are issued only to authorised personnel and partners. If you hold one, you are responsible for:
- keeping your credentials and 2FA recovery codes confidential;
- all activity that occurs under your account, whether or not you authorised it;
- notifying us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect compromise.
We may force a password rotation, revoke sessions, or disable an account where we reasonably believe it has been compromised or misused.
04Intellectual property
All content on the Site — including text, photographs, renderings, drawings, layout, logos, the "JDI" and "Joint Designs International" names, and the design and arrangement of the Site itself — is owned by JDI or its licensors and is protected by UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 38 of 2021 on Copyrights and Neighbouring Rights and applicable international treaties.
You may not copy, reproduce, modify, republish, distribute, or create derivative works of any Site content without our prior written consent, except for personal viewing, private study, or short quotation with attribution.
05Content you submit
When you submit text or files to us through the contact form or another input on the Site, you confirm that:
- you own the content or have the rights to share it,
- the content is accurate and not misleading, and does not infringe any third-party rights, and
- we may use it to respond to your enquiry and, in de-identified form, to improve the Site.
We do not claim ownership of content you submit. We may delete it at any time and without notice if it appears unlawful, abusive, or off-topic.
06Third-party links & services
The Site may link to third-party websites or services that are not under our control. We do not endorse them, do not assume responsibility for their content, and recommend you review their terms and privacy policies before using them.
07Disclaimer
The Site and its content are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied — including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, or uninterrupted availability — to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.
Photographs and renderings on the Site are illustrative; final project deliverables may differ. Information about services is general; the scope of any specific engagement is determined by a signed contract.
08Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, JDI, its affiliates, directors, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill — arising out of or in connection with your use of, or inability to use, the Site, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
Our aggregate liability arising from or related to the Site, on any theory of liability, will not exceed AED 1,000 (one thousand UAE Dirhams) or the amount you have paid JDI for use of the Site in the twelve months preceding the event, whichever is greater.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, or any liability that cannot be excluded under UAE law.
09Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless JDI and its affiliates from any claim, loss, liability, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these terms or your misuse of the Site.
10Suspension & termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Site, in whole or in part and at any time, where we reasonably believe you have violated these terms or where required by law. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination — including §4 (IP), §7 (Disclaimer), §8 (Liability), §9 (Indemnity), and §12 (Governing Law) — will survive.
11Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The "Effective" and "Last updated" dates at the top reflect the current version. Material changes will be highlighted on the Site for at least 14 days; continued use of the Site after that period constitutes acceptance.
12Governing law & disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates and the Emirate of [TO BE COMPLETED — Emirate where the entity is registered, e.g. Dubai], without regard to conflict-of-laws principles.
Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of [TO BE COMPLETED — e.g. Dubai Courts, or the DIFC Courts where you have opted in]. Before commencing proceedings, the parties will attempt in good faith to resolve the dispute through written notice and discussion within 30 days.
